Tuna Burgers
Break away from the typical tuna fish salad sandwich with these tasty burgers.
Ingredients
Makes 2 burgers or 4 sliders
- 1 can (5 oz.) tuna (I use solid white albacore in water)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (you can use any kind you like)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- Seasonings to taste: salt, garlic powder, onion (minced or powder), or any others you like
- Oil for cooking
- Buns or rolls
- Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, mustard, cheese, or anything else you want
Directions
- In a medium bowl, beat egg. Drain tuna and add to bowl. Add breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, and seasonings and mix well.
- Split the mixture in half for burgers or in quarters for sliders and for discs.
- Heat oil over medium-high heat and add the patties to your pan. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, flip, and cook the other side.
- Build your burger and enjoy!
